动植物检疫实验室成立于2003年5月，实验室建立了符合ISO/IEC 17025：2005 标准要求的管理体系，通过中国实验室国家认可委员会（CNAL）的认可评审和国家计量认证评审。为国家质监总局国家级重点实验室和浙江区域重点实验室，国家批准的首批转基因检测实验室和韩国官方认可的泡菜寄生虫卵检测实验室。实验室布局合理，具有植物检疫室、动物检疫室、P-2级炭疽检测室、分子检测室、兽药残留检测室、标本室等；配备了生物显微镜、定性PCR仪、荧光定量PCR仪、Charm7600分析仪、紫外分光光度计、酶标仪、蛋白和核酸电泳系统、凝胶成像系统等仪器设备。实验室具有一批高学历高素质的专业技术人员，可以开展动植物疫病、害生物鉴定、兽药残留筛选、皮毛炭疽杆菌和转基因成分的检测等。

检测范围
植物检疫：植物及其产品的有害生物的检疫鉴定（昆虫、线虫、真菌病害等检疫鉴定），植物病毒检测；
Plant quarantine: harmful organisms identification in plant and plant product (Insects, nematodes and fungal diseases identification), plant virus detection;
动物检疫：大动物疫病、禽类疫病及水生动物病毒性疾病的检疫鉴定，皮毛及制品中炭疽芽孢菌的检测。
Animal quarantine: major animal epidemics, poultry diseases and aquatic animals viral diseases identification; fur products Anthrax Bacillus detection
兽药残留检测：水产品、蜂产品、肉类、肠衣和尿样等动物源性产品中抗生素和激素残留的快速筛选（氯霉素、链霉素、四环素类药物、磺胺 类药物和莱克多巴胺等残留量检测）；
Veterinary drug residues detection: rapid screening of antibiotics and hormones residues in aquatic products, bee products, meats, casing, urine and other animal-derived products (chloramphenicol, streptomycin, tetracycline drugs, sulfa drugs, ractopamine, etc.)
分子检测：植物产品和深加工食品中转基因成分的检测，牛羊源性成分的鉴定。
Molecular Detection: GMO detection in plant and deep-processed plant products, bovine,sheep,and goat derived materials identification in animal derived feedstuff.
